Uttar Gujarat Viklang Kalyan Sangh – Visnagar is the organization working in Whole Gujarat for the welfare of people with disabilities like Mentally Retarded, Blind, CP, Orthopedic Handicapped, Hearing Impaired and Multiple disabled. Services and Activities done by the organization for the welfare of disabled people one given below.

The Organization gives free of cost professional training to the disabled person in this training center. So that the trained disabled person can get employment and earn easily.

This training center is recognized by the social welfare dept. (Gujarat State) Gandhinagar with effect from 1-7-1997 without grant. We are receiving grant since 2009-10 for 25 Students.

In the Training Center we give training for the file making, book binding, and packaging, screen printing, computer education, musical training, tailoring and cutting, furniture making, beauty parlor courses Etc.

The organization is carrying out one year certificate course of Printing, finishing & packaging of technical education board – Gandhinagar for the disabled persons.

In this course, detailed training & knowledge is given to the students for latest book binding work and making different types of packing boxes.

The examination is taken by technical education board – Gujarat state – and certificates are awarded by Technical Education Board (Gujarat State) to the passed students.

Assistive Devices distributes to handicapped in different program organized by UGVKS. Assistive devices like Tricycle, Calipers, Jaipur foot, hearing aids, educational kits, cassette players, wheelchair, C.P. Walker and tools for self employment are distributed to handicapped. With the support of government and other trust, the organization have distributed assistive devices amounting to Rs. 2,00,00,000/= in 18 Blocks of Mehsana, Patan, Gandhinagar and Banas Kantha districts. To organization is willing to manufacture the above devices in our workshop for giving equipment to handicapped.

The organization is running Viklang Rojgar Kendra for providing self employment to the disable persons who have taken professional training.

Office files, registers, Note Books, printing, screen printing, packaging and boxes of different sizes, canvas boards, chair canning, binding jobs, furniture repairing etc. are manufactured at Viklang Rojgar Kendra.

Residential facilities available in the institution & beneficiaries get the facilities of hostel. The student having major disability & residing in rural area face many problems for traveling to and from the city for higher education. With good aim that handicapped with major disabilities can get good education, they are admitted in the hostel free of cost. Mentally retarded children & students getting professional training are also admitted in the hostel free of cost.

The organization is arranging camp for giving available benefits to disable persons like handicap certificates, handicap I-cards, Sant Surdas Scheme, medical checkup & necessary assistive devices etc.

Mentally retarded children & major disabled children are trained for daily activities, sense development and knowledge of alphabets by trained teachers by giving special training in MR School.

This music school is opened in 2007-08 for providing music training by music teacher to blind & handicapped students.

The organization has acquired 16188 sq. meters Land in survey no. 533 of Kuvasana village on Visnagar – Vijapur road. Hostel Building is ready in Viklang Seva Parisar and the organization has already started the activities in the building. We are doing efforts to build others Building in Viklang Seva Parisar.

This organization has received limited grant from Government. The organization is carrying out these activities by donations only and suffers economical problem.

Medical certificate camp & other program organized under the project of Maharshi Austavakra C.B.R project at Visnagar & other places.

Camps are arranged in rural areas for giving information regarding welfare schemes of govt. and other organization to Viklang. The organization has identified so many disable persons by carrying out survey in Visnagar, Vadnagar, Unjha, Siddhpur, Chansma, Kadi, Satlasna, Kheralu, Detroj, Bechraji, Kalol, and Harij etc. for developing and starting new activities.

The organization appeals to the all people to donate according to their capacity & giving us economic support. We accept the help of goods.

The donation given to the organization is tax free under 80G. We are registered under FCRA. Cheque, draft, money orders for donation are to be sent to our address.
